Grace and patience will win out over hate.  Sometimes this is hard to believe but this past week we had an excellent example come to light.  For years now the Westboro Baptist Church has been picketing and disrupting the funerals of children, soldiers, and more.  They believe that most of the human race is destined for hell, and that God is constantly punishing the US.

One of the members of Westboro Baptist Church was Megan Phelps-Roper.  She was one of the spokespeople for the church. However a friendly Jewish person got her questioning her beliefs.  The online friend asked her if Jesus said “let he who is without sin cast the first stone?”  This got her questioning.  She stopped carrying a sign that said, “Death Penalty for F*s”.  A few months later she and her sister left the church, run by their Grandfather.

Sadly, they have a brother who responded to this by saying his sisters were, if they continue down this path, going to hell.

The lesson from all this is that grace and patience, Jesus true message, will always win.
